Morsani College of Medicine

Application Process 

All applicants must have completed a four-year residency program in obstetrics and gynecology accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and be eligible to take the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology written examination by the time they enter the fellowship. Individuals who will have completed a five-year residency program in Obstetrics & Gynecology accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada are also eligible. All applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States at the time of their application.

Each application is reviewed by fellowship directors, after which, applicants will be selected for a formal interview on the basis of their credentials and letters of recommendation. Interviews take place over a full day in Tampa and provide an opportunity to meet current faculty and fellows, tour our facilities and learn more about our program. The final selection process is administered through the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP).

Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship

The deadline for submission of all applications for the 2021 Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship is April 1, 2020, for a position beginning July 1, 2021. Interviews for selected candidates will occur on a single day in July, 2020.

Required Documents

In addition to the ERAS application, your completed application package must include: 

  • Three letters of recommendation (one from your residency program director)
  • Official transcript from all medical schools attended 
  • Current USMLE transcript
  • Recent photo
  • Curriculum vitae

Once you have completed your ERAS application, we ask that you submit the following documents directly to our program via email no later than June 1st.

  • CREOG I, II, III transcripts
  • Copy of medical school diploma  
  • Personal CV

Additional documents required for foreign medical school graduates 

  • Transcript documenting all college education    
  • ECFMG certificate

Note: documents in a language other than English must be submitted with a certified translation.  

Additional documentation may be required before a candidate can be appointed.
