As the only academic medical center on the west coast of
Florida, USF Health is bringing the power of academic medicine to Tampa Bay in
a way that is having a profound impact on the community. USF Health is committed
to educating the next generation of physicians, pioneering medical research
initiatives, and advancing patient care.
USF Health features three mission areas: Academics,
Research, and Clinical Care. We support these missions through a broad range of
services and functions spanning a diverse range of health sciences including
the colleges of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Public Health, and the Schools
of Physical Therapy and Biomedical Sciences. Our programs include Physician’s
Assistant, Certified Nurse Anesthetists, and more.
Our locations cover nearly every corner of Hillsborough County
and beyond. Our main location resides on
the USF campus in north Tampa, while the new state-of-the-art Morsani College of
Medicine (MCOM) scheduled to open in January 2020, the Center for Advanced
Medical Learning and Simulation (CAMLS) one of the nation’s world-class simulation
training centers, and the emerging USF Health Heart Institute to open in Spring
2020 are part of Waterstreet, USF Health’s downtown Tampa urban campus. We also
have clinical and ambulatory centers on Davis Islands, north Tampa, Brandon and
others.
USF Health’s clinical practice is comprised of more than 900 providers spanning more than 30
specialties committed to the mission of ‘Making Life Better’ for our patients
and to training tomorrow’s health care providers as students, medical
residents, researchers, and scientists.
