Pediatrics Residency

Overview

What makes a good residency program?

The People:

The Places:

The Opportunities:

USF Pediatrics offers all of these qualities and more! We are known for creating a caring but challenging environment.

For almost 40 years, the Department of Pediatrics has trained residents, and produced leaders who serve in our local community as well as nationwide. We are very proud that many of the pediatricians in the Tampa Bay area trained at USF, which has strengthened our medical community.

In addition to training excellent primary care pediatricians, we have an excellent history of placing residents at a variety of top fellowship programs throughout the country.

Our enthusiastic team looks forward to sharing with you this exciting program, and encourages you to consider USF as you search for your next learning environment. Tampa is an incredible place to live, and USF Health is a transformational place to work.

The Department of Pediatrics fosters an atmosphere of tolerance & free exchange of ideas, where we are personally & professionally enriched by our differences.

Aligned with the mission of our institution, the Department of Pediatrics fosters an atmosphere of tolerance and free exchange of ideas, where we are personally and professionally enriched by our differences. We celebrate all backgrounds and value our students, residents, fellows, and faculty. Together, we hope to create a safe space where we can learn from one another and continue to grow.

Tampa Bay is a beautiful community, which allows for valuable opportunities to learn how to best care for patients. We hope that our sustained commitment to community will allow our trainees and faculty to gain the skills needed to deliver the highest quality care to all of our patients in the Bay Area.

As the Chair of the Department, I am committed to the USF Pediatrics residency programs and will work to make the People, the Places, and the Opportunities the best possible to support your education. I encourage you to visit, and look forward to talking to you about USF in person.

Best of luck with your education,
