Hi! I am a first-generation Cuban-Iranian American and grew up in Miami, FL. I attended the University of Florida for undergrad (Go Gators!), got an MPH at Florida International University, and graduated from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. As a medical student, I rotated through TGH and loved how friendly and down-to-earth all the residents and staff were. My professional interests include emergency medicine, advocacy, and improving health disparities. In my spare time, I enjoy organizing á la Marie Kondo for friends and family, traveling, trying new restaurants, and hanging out with my fiancé, Logan (a USF IR resident!), and our pup, Chloe. We are thrilled to be joining the USF family and are looking forward to exploring everything Tampa has to offer!

Hello! I was born in Dallas, TX, but moved to Fort Lauderdale in high school and haven’t wanted to leave Florida since! I attended the University of Florida for undergrad (GO GATORS) and Nova Southeastern University for medical school. I fell in love with the Tampa/St. Pete area and with the USF community, and I am so excited to be joining this awesome group of people. I moved to Tampa with my husband and our small rescue dog, Callie, and we can’t wait to explore the dog beach and all the other dog-friendly activities the city has to offer.

I was born in Puerto Rico and lived there during most of my childhood until the age of 15, when I moved to South Florida. I graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelors in Biological Sciences (Go Panthers!). I graduated medical school from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. During my time there, I had the opportunity to truly experience rural medicine and serve communities with unique needs. After completing my Sub-I at Tampa General Hospital and meeting the residents and faculty, I knew I was in the right place. I remained impressed by the camaraderie seen between the residents and the emphasis placed on resident wellness. I loved Tampa so much, my husband and I bought a house in Tampa and could not be happier to call Tampa Bay our new home. Outside of medicine, I enjoy eating Latin pastries, sipping cortaditos, hosting game nights, going to the beach (anything outdoors really), and re-watching New Girl/ Schitt’s Creek episodes. I can’t wait to start this new journey and be officially part of the USF Peds Family!

I grew up in Winter Park, FL, a charming little city on the outskirts of Orlando. I received my bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Tampa, where I also played on their DII volleyball team (Go Spartans!). For medical school, I attended The Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Auburn, Alabama. After spending four years away from my home, I knew I was ready to return to the sunshine state!  I feel so honored to have the opportunity to join the USF Peds family and return to Tampa, FL!  My professional interests include Pediatric Emergency Medicine and Pediatric ICU, but I am keeping an open mind as well! Outside of medicine, I love to read, attempt DIY furniture/home projects, create, and eat all genres of delicious food, and spend time with my boyfriend Neal and our adorable goldendoodle, Addi!

I was born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan and took a short detour to Northwest Ohio to attend Bowling Green State University (Go Falcons!) where I studied biology and played collegiate soccer. From there, I attended Michigan State University COM in Detroit. After 26 years in the Midwest and countless April snowstorms, I decided that I was going to follow the warmth (and most of my family) to sunny Florida. I was lucky enough to interview at USF and quickly realized it was the perfect fit for me! Currently, I am interested in pursuing a fellowship in GI or Allergy/Immunology, but I am excited to explore all of pediatrics before I make a final decision. In my free time, I enjoy running, cycling, rock climbing, trying out new coffee shops, thrifting for clothes, and eating ice cream. My boyfriend and I bought a house in St. Pete, and I am so excited to attempt to plant a fruit and veggie garden, check out the food scene in St. Pete, make new friends, soak in the sun at the beach, and see my family in Florida more often!

I grew up in Bergen County, New Jersey and attended undergrad at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ. I then went to medical school at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Middletown, New York. As a fourth-year medical student, I completed a sub-internship with USF and immediately felt at home! I am currently interested in pursuing outpatient general pediatrics; however I am eager to explore the world of pediatrics throughout residency. My boyfriend and I are thrilled to be living in Tampa to continue exploring our favorite to-do's including food touring, going to the beach, and soaking in the warm weather any way we can. I am super excited to be a part of the USF pediatrics family and train in sunny Florida!

I am originally from Wilmington, Delaware. I'm usually the only person anyone meets from that state, so it's always a fun conversation starter. I’m also an alumna of USF, Go Bulls! After college I worked as a medical scribe in Pediatrics. Later my medical education brought me to the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Maine. But now it is time for Florida sunshine once again! One of my favorite hobbies is to play volleyball, but I love to play other sports, hang out with friends, and travel as much as I can. My current professional interests include pediatric critical care, hospitalist medicine, and residency program leadership. I'm so excited to be back in the Tampa Bay community!

I was born in Havana, Cuba and moved to Miami, Florida when I was 11 years old. I attended Florida International University for undergrad, where I majored in biological sciences. I later moved to Tallahassee, Florida where I completed my Master's in Biomedical Sciences and medical school at Florida State University College of Medicine. I like to spend time with my family and try new food spots with my other half, who is also a USF resident. I also enjoy dancing salsa and playing dominoes with my loved ones, which allow me to cherish my Latin roots. My professional interests include general pediatrics, but I'm open to pursuing fellowship if I fall in love with any of the subspecialties. When I rotated at USF Peds as a medical student, I automatically felt like I belonged here and I cannot think of a better place to train as a pediatrician.

It's such a joy to come home! I was born and raised here in Florida, attending USF for my Bachelor’s in Biochemistry and MPH before attending Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine for medical school. My husband also received his PhD from USF, and we found our cat Stubbles on the USF Campus, so you can definitely say we’re a Bulls family! I’ve always wanted to work in pediatrics and am interested in everything. I guess you could say I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up! In my free time I love being outdoors, hiking or biking, reading, and playing with my nephew. I’m so excited to be back in Tampa where I can finally grow a garden, enjoy my Champa Bay teams, and learn with my USF Pediatric family.

I was born in Afghanistan and lived in Iran and Azerbaijan before my family and I moved to Jacksonville, FL when I was six years old. I stayed local for undergrad and attended University of North Florida. For medical school I was ready for a change from north Florida and made the big move all the way to sunny south Florida where I attended Nova Southeastern University. During my fourth year I was lucky to be able to do an audition with USF where I fell in love with the program, people, and city! USF quickly became my top choice for my residency program! I am so excited to explore my interests in the different subspecialties at USF Pediatrics, specifically Neonatology. In my free time, I love traveling, hiking, vlogging, and hosting The Bachelor viewing parties. I can't wait to make Tampa my new home and become a part of the USF family!
