About the Program

Regenerative Leadership Empowerment for the Advancement of Community Health (REACH) is a 6-8 month leadership development experience will introduce participants to a collaborative leadership approach designed to better address the complex issues of our times. The approach is a positive, strengths-based, adaptive, systems-thinking leadership approach termed "regenerative" leadership (RL). RL is about co-creating the conditions for positive change and restoring balance in complex living systems.

Goals of the Program

  • Create opportunities for networking and collaboration that develop a community of regenerative leaders
  • Develop the mindset and skillset to transform systems, structures, and policies, in partnership with the community
  • Develop leaders who can harness the power of strategic communication and messaging
  • Support the development of skills such as facilitation, conflict resolution, and strategic planning

Course Structure

  • The course is designed to facilitate leadership development through experiential learning
  • Each team will be composed of two rising public health leaders and two community partners from the
  • same jurisdicition
  • There will be four modules held over a six to eight month period followed by a capstone presentation
  • Teams will meet during the modules for two full days, approximately every six weeks
  • Course location will rotate between Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas Counties
  • Participants who successfully complete the program will receive a digital badge and CPH credit, if applicable

Module Structure

    1. Develop a holistic understanding of regenerative leadership
    2. Develop greater awareness of and insight into your whole self as a leader
    3. Describe the approach to challenge underlying assumptions and beliefs
    1. Develop, maintain, and value generative relationships
    2. Organize and structure groups and teams to unleash creativity and get results
    3. Clarify the foundations of effective collaboration
    4. Create a shared vision and define the principles upon which collaborative leadership will occur
    1. Develop the mindset and skillset to transform systems, structures and policies, in partnership with the community
    2. Create opportunities for networking and collaboration that develops a community of regenerative leaders
    3. Transform leadership approaches to a more holistic and collaborative style even during crisis
    1. Build the competencies that foster continued growth of future regenerative leaders
    2. Develop the leaders who can harness the power of strategic communication and messaging
    3. Develop strategies to enhance media effectiveness skills in times of crisis, including the development and communication of key messages
