The Public Health Executive Leadership Program is an ongoing leadership development initiative launched in 1999. However, due to a funding gap, PHELP was not in operation between 2008 and 2018. The program was happy to relaunch in 2018 with the Florida Department of Health’s support to equip rising public health leaders with knowledge and skills to lead in today's challenging health care/public health environment.
