Activist Lab
Overview
The purpose of the USF College of Public Health Activist Lab is to serve as the hub of excellence in providing interdisciplinary advocacy, education, research, and service opportunities for students to develop the skills that will promote their success as effective public health advocates and leaders.
The Activist Lab is excited to share our Year 3 holiday message for You Rock or You Are Reaching Out and Creating Kindness! We're honoring the Unsung Heroes who make an impact every day without expecting anything in return. Our Board members will be around the College asking about your unsung hero this year, and your nominee may be featured on our social media across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and more.

Functions & Activities
The Activist Lab focuses on six core pillars of engagement: advocacy, education, research, leadership, service and development of applied practice experiences and integrated learning experiences.
The Activist Lab utilizes evidence-based research as a springboard to offer advocacy training, podcasts, seminars and webinars while allowing student members opportunities to engage with and support their surrounding communities to effect real, positive change.
Through Activist Lab activities, students may also fulfill many of their APE and ILE requirements needed for graduation along with generating research and outreach projects. Activities include volunteering at the Lab, participating in lab activities and programs and developing new programs and activities.
