APE allows students to apply the knowledge, skills, and theories learned in the classroom to real-world public health issues outside of the classroom. Through APE, students gain field experience and valuable, interprofessional education experience.
The MOULA Program (More Opportunities to Use Learned Advocacy) allows students in the Activist Lab to partner with community organizations and agencies working on public health issues.
In collaboration with the Guardian ad Litem program, the Activist Lab was able to donate over 600 clothing items for youth in the child welfare system in Hillsborough and Pinellas County.
