The Center for Leadership in Public Health Practice (CLPHP) serves as a college-wide resource within the University of South Florida College of Public Health, connecting academic expertise with the needs of the public health workforce, agencies, organizations, and communities.

Established in 1999 and housed within the Dean’s Office, CLPHP supports leadership development, workforce training, academic-practice partnerships, professional development, and collaborative public health initiatives.

The Center works with public health professionals, community organizations, faculty, students, and other partners to strengthen leadership capacity, build workforce skills, connect resources, and develop practical solutions to public health challenges.

Through training, partnerships, experiential learning, and collaborative leadership approaches, CLPHP helps strengthen public health practice across Florida and beyond.
