The Infection Control for Emergency Responders Collaborative and Training Hub (ICER) aims to develop infection prevention and control (IPC) training materials to address unmet training needs. ICER is working to identify pathogens present in apparatus and “hot spots” for contamination. ICER seeks to become a trusted source of IPC information for routine challenges, as well as outbreak and pandemic response.

Educational offerings from ICER are designed with input from fire and EMS field and administrative representatives, led by faculty and project staff with various backgrounds, including fire, EMS, adult education, and professional development.
