The Tampa General Hospital (TGH) Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) - an 82-bed Level IV unit that is a designated Regional Perinatal Intensive Care Center - serves as a major referral center for high-risk pregnancies. The TGH NICU offers whole body cooling for Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE), high-frequency oscillatory ventilation, and neonatal transport services. A multi-disciplinary team of neonatologists, neonatal nurse practitioners, nurses, registered dietitians, pharmacists, and respiratory therapists provides a collaborative, evidence-based approach to the management of complicated neonatal problems.
