The program is located within the USF Health departments of Pediatrics and Psychiatry at the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine.

USF Health is pleased to offer an outstanding training program in professional psychology within a large, urban academic medical center. The program is designed as a full-time, 12-month doctoral internship providing 2,000 hours of training.

We embrace a Scientist-Practitioner Model of education wherein interns follow a set of established methods for producing data to undergo the practice of professional psychology, and the best practice of professional psychology is based on applications of the data.

Interns will learn to utilize data-driven methods to provide high-quality assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring across a variety of clinical and community settings.

Accreditation

The internship program is a member of the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC) and participates in the APPIC match process.

Our USF Health Doctoral Internship in Professional Psychology is APA-accredited as of October 23, 2021. Please contact the Office of Program Consultation and Accreditation, American Psychological Association with any questions regarding our accreditation.
