Center for Environmental / Occupational Risk Analysis and Management

The Center for Environmental / Occupational Risk Analysis and Management (CEORAM) conducts scientific risk assessments to identify and manage health hazards from environmental, agricultural, and occupational chemical exposures. CEORAM informs public health policy through evidence-based analysis and supports safer environments for communities and workers.

Center for Global Health and Inter-Disciplinary Research

Advancing the control and elimination of vector-borne and infectious diseases, the Center for Global Health and Inter-Disciplinary Research (GHIDR) leads translational research to improve diagnostics, treatments, and prevention. With over $42 million in funding, the Center fosters cross-sector collaborations and global partnerships to develop practical solutions to pressing public health challenges.

The USF Center for Social Marketing applies evidence-based strategies to strengthen community capacity for disease prevention and health promotion. Using community-based prevention marketing, it works with organizations to drive policy, program, and systems change in public health.

USF Health’s Thomas Unnasch, one of the world’s leading experts on onchocerciasis, with a local team in Uganda employed to help with collection and control of the black flies that spread the sight-robbing parasitic infection.

World Health Organization Collaborating Center for Onchocerciasis Diagnostics

USF is designated as the World Health Organization's Collaborating Center on Onchocerciasis Diagnostics. With over 25 years of international partnerships, this Center supports onchocerciasis (river blindness) elimination by developing and distributing diagnostic reagents, providing technical assistance, and training laboratories in endemic regions.
