The University of South Florida College of Public Health (COPH) offers two undergraduate degree programs designed to give students the education they need to succeed in the ever-expanding Public Health and Health Sciences professions.
At USF's COPH, our students learn by doing and engage with a hands-on, practice-based curriculum that prepares them to understand and diagnose critical issues, combat emerging public health challenges and advocate for change.
Our doctoral graduates enter the job market a step ahead with extensive experience in research, teaching, and service. With a rigorous, advanced doctoral training program, we are shaping future public health professionals to solve problems with passion and work towards allowing every person the universal right to health and well-being.
The College of Public Health offers a variety of graduate degrees and certificate programs in an online format to suit the needs of the off-campus student. Our graduate degree and certificate programs are coordinated by a team of graphic and instructional designers in the Office of Educational Technology and Assessment who provide support to more than 5,000 students enrolled in online public health courses.
A concurrent degree allows students to request to pursue two different degrees at the same time. Students may begin this process at the beginning of their academic programs or partway.
USF's COPH continues to create high-impact opportunities for our students to engage in active learning outside of the classroom, inside the community, with local organizations and with other countries abroad. Our International Programs feature international field experience, study abroad programs, and Peace Corps at COPH, which aim to guide and support students in becoming global citizens.
The USF Career Services Center provides workshops, career fairs, and other services to ensure COPH students are career ready. They can also help undergraduate students identify internships, jobs, and graduate school options.
COPH MPH students can participate in Bull Professional Engagement Network, or BullPEN for short. The BullPEN is an overarching initiative providing both required and optional career planning and professional development opportunities for graduate students.
These are just some of the many career pathways that exist for Bulls who are excited about pursuing a future in Public Health:
At USF's COPH, we aim to create high-impact opportunities for our students to engage in active learning outside of the classroom, inside the community, with local organizations and with other countries abroad.
We realize that we are all interconnected, and that what we do here can affect people living in other parts of the world. With our own International Programs, which feature international field experience, Study Abroad Programs, and Peace Corps at COPH, we aim to guide and support our students in becoming global citizens, further transforming the culture of our campus, and ultimately, our people.
Each semester, parents and families are invited to USF College of Public Health's internal graduation celebration where COPH graduate students are celebrated with recognition from the Dean and Faculty members, and with light refreshments for all who attend.
This event is typically held the Friday before the University's official graduation ceremony, and is offered both in-person and virtually via livestream.
