The Biostatistics Help Lab and Programming Support Center is a student-run resource center assisting students with challenges in biostatistics. The Lab has expertise in all areas of biostatistics including programming in R, SPSS, and SAS. Complete this survey to request support.

The USF Writing Studio offers free in-person or remote writing assistance with experienced writing consultants to all currently enrolled USF undergraduate and graduate students. To learn more, visit the Writing Studio website. 

COPH offers many opportunities for students to gain real-world experience including study abroad opportunities, international field experiences, applied practice experiences, and interprofessional experiences.

Applied Practice Experiences (APE) allow students to apply the knowledge, skills, and theories learned in the classroom to real-world public health issues outside of the classroom. Students will demonstrate attainment of MPH foundational and concentration-specific competencies through these experiences. Students have the opportunity to learn from public health professionals in a variety of settings including governmental, non-governmental, non-profit, and for-profit organizations. COPH has an in-house instructional design team (ETA) that services online course development and support. Faculty work with instructional designers to create interactive and engaging content for our online programs and courses. ETA also helps students resolve technical issues in their online courses, making for a smooth and stress-free course experience.

COPH students have access to an on-site computer lab and to cloud-based software to support their studies.

COPH values our international students and their unique student experiences. COPH has an international student support liaison to guide students through their programs at the College.

We also host a tailored, international student orientation session as well as coffee hours for all USF Health international students to promote cultural exchange and shared community.

USF International Studies services helps students understand their visa requirements, connects students to get involved, and hosts sessions specifically for international graduate students as they begin at USF.

International Coffee Hour offers USF Health international students across different disciplines the opportunity to check in with each other, socialize, network, and give feedback on our experiences each semester. COPH is consistently ranked one of the topmost veteran-friendly colleges. We partner with the Veteran Students Success office and provide the Got Your Six training  to many of our faculty and staff in order to better understand and support the unique needs and challenges of veteran students.

The USF Career Services Center provides workshops, career fairs, and other services to ensure COPH students are career ready. They can also help undergraduate students identify internships, jobs, and graduate school options.

COPH MPH students can participate in Bull Professional Engagement Network, or BullPEN for short. The BullPEN is an overarching initiative providing both required and optional career planning and professional development opportunities for graduate students. The BullPEN works within the larger college structure to leverage existing resources while collaborating across the various college-level components and activities to offer career planning and professional development. The BullPEN focuses on building a culture of professionalism among MPH students with an emphasis on reflection, intention, and application to their future careers and maintenance of their public health credentials over time.
