Nomination and Selection Criteria for Faculty and Alumni Inductees

Faculty

The Robert A. Good Honor Society (RGHS), will annually honor faculty who exemplify a commitment to improving health through research, innovation and scholarly endeavors.

Candidates are selected by an Advisory Committee which includes RISE Leadership, the RGHS Champion(s), and the RGHS Student President. Upon the recommendation of this Advisory Committee, the Vice President for USF Health, Dean, Morsani College of Medicine and the Vice Dean for Educational Affairs will make a determination and inform the inductees.

The criteria employed in the selection of the award recipient will include the assessment of his/her professional and personal skills, personal attributes, and professional and academic activities that provide evidence of the following qualities and characteristics.

Sustained commitment to:

  • Academic excellence
  • Leadership
  • Professionalism
  • Service
  • Teaching
  • Research
  • Mentorship

Up to four (4) Faculty members may be inducted each induction cycle. As a member of the RGHS, the faculty will continue to serve as role models, fostering the spirit of a lifelong scholarly approach to the practice of medicine. 

The selected Faculty will be invited to the Induction Ceremony and celebratory event.

Alumni

The Robert A. Good Honor Society (RGHS), will annually honor a USF Morsani College of Medicine alumnus who has distinguished his/her self in their professional career. The candidate must be ten (10) years’ post-graduation from MCOM and demonstrate continued accomplishments in the areas of research, innovation and scholarly endeavors.

Candidates are selected by an Advisory Committee which includes RISE Leadership, the RGHS Champion(s), and the RGHS Student President. Upon the recommendation of this Advisory Committee, the Vice President for USF Health, Dean, Morsani College of Medicine and the Vice Dean for Educational Affairs will make a determination and inform the inductee.

One (1) Alumni inductee may be inducted each induction cycle. As a member of the RGHS, the alumnus will continue to serve as a role model, fostering the spirit of a lifelong scholarly approach to the practice of medicine.

The selected Alumnus will be invited to the Induction Ceremony and celebratory event.
