Biography

Dr. Dae Hyun Lee is a cardio-oncology and cardiology specialist in Tampa, Florida. He graduated from Inha University School of Medicine in 2012. He completed his Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at the University of South Florida in 2023. He is board-certified in cardiovascular disease, cardio-oncology, comprehensive echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology. His core values include being a compassionate cardiologist whose most important priority is the well-being of his patients. He specializes in cardio-oncology, a subspecialty focusing on cardiovascular care in patients with cancer. He communicates closely with oncology doctors to plan for the best cardiovascular care for patients with cancer.

Research Interests

  • Dr. Lee is an experienced researcher in cardiovascular medicine. His research focus is on cardio-oncology to prevent and treat harmful effects of cancer (from cancer, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, etc.) in the cardiovascular system. He has published over 40 peer-reviewed articles in numerous prestigious journals, including the Journal of American College of Cardiology (JACC), Blood Advances, Heart, and the Journal of Heart and Lung Transplant (JHLT). He recently received funding from “Casey DeSantis Florida Cancer Innovation Fund” from the Florida Department of Health.
