Biography

Dr. Shone Almeida earned his medical degree from UC Los Angeles (UCLA) and completed his fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at UC San Diego (UCSD). With over a decade of experience, Dr. Almeida has been at the forefront of pioneering imaging techniques to enhance the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular diseases. His work is instrumental in leveraging CT-derived plaque analysis for early disease detection and risk stratification, transforming patient outcomes in preventive cardiology. As a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), Dr. Almeida actively contributes to research and education in the field, frequently presenting at national and international conferences.
