You can get your flu shot right in your doctors office. Cardiology is offering the flu vaccine for their established patients. Talk to your provider about getting the vaccine.

Cardiovascular disease is the number one cause of death in America.

And at any one time, more than 40 percent of the U.S. population is affected by cardiovascular disease, which includes heart disease, stroke, peripheral vascular disease, heart failure and atrial fibrillation.

USF Health cardiologists are dedicated to putting a dent in those statistics. Our team of expert cardiologists, physician assistants, cardiac surgeons, nurse practitioners, and other health care professionals strive to deliver the most advanced clinical care and procedures available for all aspects of cardiovascular disease, from direct care to prevention to testing to treatment.

As an academic medical center, USF Health has this region’s leading experts for cardiovascular sciences and can offer patients the newest services and treatment options, including those through our expertly designed clinical trials. With three clinical locations in the Tampa Bay area, and access to the latest advances in equipment and treatment options, the USF Health Cardiology team provides outstanding care for patients across the state.

In addition to advanced clinical care, USF Health is an epicenter for cutting-edge cardiovascular research. Opening in 2019 in downtown Tampa is the new USF Health Heart Institute, a modern research facility for groundbreaking translational research that will take new discoveries from bench to bedside. Within four floors totaling 100,000 square feet, the USF Health Heart Institute will be dedicated to cardiovascular and related research, including clinical trials targeting new ways to manage, prevent and cure the cardiovascular disease.
