Why Turley Family Health Center? Currently serving as a PGY1 pharmacy resident at the Marshfield Clinic Health System in Marshfield, Wisconsin, I've had the privilege of engaging in phenomenal experiences and accomplishing significant milestones. However, my aspiration to return to Florida for my PGY2 residency led me to seek out a program that aligns perfectly with my professional goals. In my quest for an ambulatory care residency, I sought an opportunity that would allow me to immerse myself in chronic disease management, particularly focusing on conditions like diabetes, hypertension, COPD, hyperlipidemia, and others. The Turley Family Health Center's program not only caters to these specific areas but also provides a platform for collaborative care, enabling me to work closely in an interdisciplinary team. Through conversations with the Residency Program Director and current resident, I gained valuable insights into the program's structure and ethos. It became evident that the Turley Family Health Center offers precisely what I've been seeking—a dynamic environment that fosters interprofessional collaboration, clinical excellence, and comprehensive training in ambulatory care pharmacy. Choosing the Turley Family Health Center for my PGY2 residency ensures that I'll receive the guidance, support, and hands-on experience needed to excel in my role as an ambulatory care pharmacist. I am confident that this program will not only prepare me for the challenges ahead but also enrich my professional journey, ultimately enabling me to make a meaningful impact on patient care and community wellness.
