Partnerships across all sectors are at the heart of embedding the USF College of Public Health as a resource across the communities that we are engaged with on a daily basis. Faculty of the college are engaged through community-based research projects, service on advisory boards, interdisciplinary work groups for various non-profit organizations and government agencies, and most importantly through establishing partnerships for service learning projects for students at undergraduate and graduate levels. Strategic alliances with community leaders and their organizations help target common critical issues to be addressed in the region and with the college’s leadership team and faculty. Students are engaged alongside faculty leaders to help community leaders address key challenges.

The college’s community advisory board is led by the college’s founder and board chairman, Sam Bell, Esq.. This advisory board serves a strategic purpose of collaborating with the college and university leaders to ensure that the vision and overarching strategic direction of the college is aligned with the needs of the communities being served along with bringing insights to help cultivate new opportunities for the growth of the college.
