The mission of the Breast Surgery Department at Tampa General Hospital is to offer our patients the latest advancements in the surgical care of benign and malignant breast diseases. Our highly skilled and qualified team of nationally and regionally recognized breast surgeons and advanced care providers aim to achieve the highest standards in oncologic and cosmetic outcomes. We use an individualized patient care approach with collaboration from our multidisciplinary breast team.

The division of Breast Surgery is comprised of fellowship trained breast surgeons and breast specialized advanced care providers who collaborate closely with plastic surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology, genetics and supportive care departments to provide comprehensive care.

We work closely with the TGH Cancer Institute to participate in latest multidisciplinary treatment plans for our patients. Our nurse navigators assist all new cancer patients with their treatment journey.

Our breast surgery team offers the latest evidence based surgical options to our diverse patient population. Our goal is to achieve the best possible outcomes for our patients both in terms of physical health and emotional well-being.

The department is involved with education and teaching of the USF medical students, and general surgery residents.

We participate in national collaborative group as well as industry trials to be able to offer enrollment to our patients. By participating in in research trials, they not only receive cutting-edge treatment options but also contribute to the scientific knowledge that can benefit future breast patients. Our team is committed to providing our patients with the best possible care and resources.

Our team has a presence at national meetings and authors of publications regarding breast research.
