Welcome to the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine’s (MCOM) Department of Family Medicine at the University of South Florida, where we are dedicated to training future leaders in primary care.

Dear Prospective Residents,

It is with great enthusiasm that I welcome you to the University of South Florida (USF) Family Medicine Residency Program at Tampa General Hospital (TGH). As the program director, I am thrilled to introduce you to a journey that promises to be as rewarding as it is challenging, set within an environment that fosters innovation, collaboration, and excellence in patient care.

Our program is deeply committed to cultivating the next generation of family medicine physicians who are not only skilled clinicians but also compassionate healers. We are in search of individuals who possess a 'can-do' attitude, ready to embrace the challenges and opportunities that come with being trailblazers in the field. We believe that the heart of family medicine lies in a holistic approach to health, integrating the physical, mental, and social aspects of well-being.
