The Center for Global Health and Inter-Disciplinary Research (GHIDR) occupies a total of 20,000 square feet of combined space on the 3rd and 4th floors of the USF Research Park’s Interdisciplinary Research Building (IDRB), a state of the art facility completed in 2007. Our laboratory space includes a number of BSL2 lab suites, one BSL3 suite, and the university’s only insectary and supporting BSL2 vivarium. These spacious and functional lab suites contain a range of state of the art equipment including an Operetta High-Content Imaging System, a Perkin Elmer IVIS Spectrum, a laser dissection microscope, a DeltaVision Imaging System, two Accuri C6 Flow Cytometers, and an Illumina MiSeq desktop sequencer.
