USF SafetyFlorida

About Us

The SafetyFlorida Consultation Program at the University of South Florida was established in the summer of 2000. The focus of this program is to provide occupational safety and health educational outreach and services to small businesses within the state of Florida.

All employers want to provide their employees with a safe and healthy work environment. It's the right thing to do! Sometimes the solutions, techniques, or work barriers make it seem difficult to accomplish. Then you also have the difficulty of understanding all the government regulations.

The staff within the USF Consultation Program and the continuing resources of the College of Public Health are at your fingertips. We are here to provide the most up-to-date education, technology, and research.

Our services are at no cost to the employer. The program is funded 90% through the federal government and 10% through state resources.

We are committed to providing your business with the highest level of occupational safety and health service needed to support your organization and keep it profitable. Identifying potential work hazards, educational outreach, and understanding the government standards relating to OSHA compliance are just a few examples of our services. Partnerships bring ideas and best work practices together to benefit our customers. To request a consultation, please complete the "Request a Free Consultation" form by clicking here.
