Dr. Cao lab focused on modulating immune system to treat diseases including vaccines development and the formations of nutraceuticals such as THC/CBD, coffee/caffeine, melatonin and cell phone/EMF as treatment for Alzheimer’s disease and other neurological disease. The pioneer work of Cao lab includes therapeutic vaccine for Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease, and using low dose THC to treat Alzheimer’s disease (patent number).

The research interests of the Cao lab include dendritic cell therapy, therapeutic use of THC/CBD, nutraceutical therapy with compounds such as caffeine, nanoparticle therapy, and cellphone/EMF exposure as treatments for Alzheimer’s Disease and other neurological diseases. Our lab is the only one working to sensitize DCs to different pathological peptides in both Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s in the hope of mounting a safe, yet effective, immune response. We are also one of the only labs studying the benefits of extremely low doses of THC and CBD.
