USF Diabetes and Endocrinology Center

The USF Diabetes and Endocrinology Center, founded in 2012 is a state-of-the-art facility designed to provide the latest in technology and resources for patient care, diabetes education, and clinical research. Drs. Rodriguez, Dorothy Shulman, Verena Jorgensen, and Danielle Gomez Reynolds see children and adolescents with diabetes at this facility. 

Dr. Henry Rodriguez serves as the Clinical Director of the USF Diabetes and Endocrinology Center. 

Multidisciplinary team members include diabetes educators, a dietician, clinical social worker, and a licensed mental health counselor with expertise in addressing the challenges faced by diabetes patients and their families. Individual and group education covering basic and advanced diabetes management, insulin pump therapy and center continuous glucose monitoring is available.

The Center is located at the Frank and Carol Morsani Center on the USF campus.

USF Health has been providing Pediatric Endocrinology Services for the region since 1972. 

Dr. Henry Rodriguez, Dr. Dorothy Shulman, Dr. Jorgensen, and Dr. Danielle Gomez Reynolds provide care to endocrine and diabetes patients.

Our physicians care for children and adolescents with disorders of growth, thyroid, puberty, pituitary, adrenal, calcium metabolism, bone, ovaries and testes. USF serves as the regional Newborn Screening Center for congenital hypothyroidism and congenital adrenal hyperplasia.
