Research Interests
Airway hyperreactivity (AHR), the excessive constriction of the airways, is a major clinical problem in asthma which is not treated by current therapies. Recent evidence suggests that nerves in the lungs contribute to AHR. Our goal is to unravel the neural mechanisms underlying AHR and identify novel therapeutic targets for treating asthma.
