College-Wide Awards
Each year, USF's College of Public Health is honored to recognize talented alumni, community members, faculty and staff who exemplify excellence in the field of public health. Learn more about each of these awards and their honorable recipients from recent years.
Cliff Blair Award
This award honors the memory of the late Dr. Clifford Blair, a teacher at USF who famously made learning fun and difficult topics easy to understand. The award goes to instructors who “reach deep within and far beyond to provide extraordinary learning moments for students."
Outstanding Alumni Award
The Outstanding Alumni Award recognizes COPH graduates who improve the public’s health and do it exceedingly well.
Outstanding Woman Award
The College of Public Health initiated the Outstanding Woman in Public Health Award in April 1988 to honor women in Florida who made significant contributions to the field of public health.
Excellence in Teaching Award
The Excellence in Teaching Award is bestowed to one faculty member who has made major contributions to student development, as well as to the quality of education within their department and the college as a whole. Nominations are accepted from all undergraduates and graduate students in the college.
Staff Leadership Award
The COPH Staff Leadership Award recognizes a staff member who displays exemplary leadership and project management, organization and planning skills over the past year.
Staff Excellence Award
The COPH Staff Excellence Award recognizes a staff member who has made exemplary contributions to the College over the past year through outstanding performance, demonstration of high quality of work and professionalism and outstanding customer service, amongst other qualities.
