The Laboratory of Experimental Therapeutics and Pharmacokinetics/Pharmacodynamics (PKPD) Evaluation is led by Dr. Q. Stephanie Zhou at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, USF Taneja College of Pharmacy. It is equipped to perform a wide range of preclinical studies to support new drug development, including but not limited to, in vitro plasma protein binding and drug metabolism studies, in vitro evaluation of treatment effects on cell viability, migration and invasion using 2-dimentional (2D) or 3D monoculture or co-culture models, in vivo pharmacokinetic characterization of small-molecule and macro-molecule drugs incorporated with pharmacodynamic assessments. Our quantitative analysis and assessment modalities are readily to be fine-tuned to meet the specific requirements demanded in interconnected areas of scientific research.
