Flow Cytometry Core

Location and Contacts

The main Flow Cytometry lab is in MDC3111. We have a BD FACSDiscover S8, BD LSR II and a BD Canto II, and Miltenyi AutoMax PRO in this lab. The BD FASCAria IIu is in IDRB319A.

Not part of this core, but other shared flow cytometry instruments at USF Tampa are a Nanocell Wolf G2 chip based, low pressure sorter in the Byrd institute, a BD FACSMelody in a BSL-3 lab in RSB, Miltenyi MACSQuant Tyto in IDRB and a 3 laser Cytek Aurora in the downtown medical school building, MDD. A 3 laser Cytek Northern Lights is available for researchers in Molecular Pharmacology and Physiology in MDC.

The MDC3111 room houses several non-flow related instruments, such as:

Fluorescent microscopes:

  • Keyence BZ-X710
  • Olympus IX51

Plate readers:

  • Biotek Synergy H1
  • Biotek Synergy H4

Gel/blot imagers:

  • Bio Rad Chemidock MP new
  • Bio Rad Chemidock MP old
