The standard Curriculum Vitae (CV) format provides headings and descriptions of the items that should be presented in your up-to-date CV for academic advancement. A standard CV format is included in the College of Medicine faculty promotion and tenure package. Organizing your CV in this manner will facilitate clear presentation of your accomplishments during review by the College of Medicine Promotion and Tenure Committee.
Students
Medical students are encouraged to begin organizing their CV in their first year of medical school and keeping it up-to-date on a regular basis to facilitate applying for residency programs during the fourth year.
