Biography
Dr.
Pruitt teaches undergraduate and graduate courses, including Understanding U.S.
Health Care, Health Services Management, Strategic Planning & Healthcare
Marketing, and the Advanced Seminar in Health Care Management. He also teaches
healthcare systems in USF Health’s Morsani College of Medicine. Prior to
academics, he directed Medicaid operations for a small Florida health plan, and
managed policy and compliance projects for a large publicly-traded managed care
organization. His research interests include the examination of healthcare costs,
quality, and access among those insured by Medicaid, healthcare management
applications, patient navigator programs, and the integration of medical and
social care for vulnerable populations.
