Faculty Development

The College of Nursing offers complimentary CE opportunities to all USF Health Nurses through its our Trailblazing Sessions, Journal Clubs, and CE On Demand webinars. For additional information on our offerings, visit the Faculty Development & Continuing Education.

  • The Office of Faculty Affairs helps identify award opportunities, recommend individuals for nominations, and coordinate nomination packets. These awards recognize individuals who embody success initiatives, service excellence, dedication, and or who have earned national distinctions.

  • The Office of Faculty Affairs partners with Human Resources to onboard, orient, and integrate collaborative faculty into the USF College of Nursing.

  • The Office of Faculty Affairs partners with the Educational Design and Technology team to run the CON Team Member Resources Canvas course, which provides important information to all current faculty and staff about each unit within the College.

  • The Office of Faculty Affairs partners with the DAISY Foundation to offer the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nursing Faculty to the USF College of Nursing’s faculty.

  • The Office of Faculty Affairs offers 1:1 consultations on conflict resolution, career trajectory and advancement, and professional development opportunities.

  • The Office of Faculty Affairs partners with Human Resources to coordinate the faculty recruitment and search efforts of the College.

  • The Office of Faculty Affairs partners with Human Resources to facilitate the new team member orientation, which is part of the College’s three-tiered onboarding and orientation program. You’ll be set up for success!

  • The Office of Faculty Affairs offers consultations and assistance to faculty members interested in entering the promotion process.

Faculty Governance

The Office of Faculty Affairs is supportive of the College’s on-going faculty governance. Below is information on the College’s faculty governance structure – Faculty Council – as well as the College’s Appointment Promotion and Tenure Committee.

Faculty Council Meeting Dates

Faculty Council Meetings take place on the third Friday of every month from 10 am to 12 pm Meetings are currently held on Microsoft Teams. For additional information, contact a member of the executive board or email nurfacultycouncil@usf.edu.
