To be effective in nursing education, educators must develop strategies that facilitate learning. This facilitation includes innovative strategies that go beyond information transfer to create a transformative environment.

Research Interests
My research began in 2018 with the completion of my PhD in Nursing Education. The focus of this dissertation with the use of transformative learning theory to help students apply information in the classroom. This research was published in 2019 in the Journal of Nursing Education. I continue to pursue research that identifies educator strategies to engage students in the classroom.
