Sample Block Schedule, USF Med-Peds
This schedule is subject to change.
We switch between specialties every 2 months during all 4 years.
Residents progress to a supervisory role upon completion of 16 months of residency at an intern level.
Residents spend one half-day each week in the Med-Peds continuity clinic, providing longitudinal care to their own panel of adult and pediatric patients.
Elective Opportunities
We offer an extensive list of electives in both pediatrics and internal medicine. If you are looking for a specific elective, please do not hesitate to ask.

Vacation Allowed
Residents have 20 weekdays of annual vacation. Vacation is typically taken in weeklong blocks during an elective rotation, a Med-Peds ambulatory clinic block, or an Emergency Medicine rotation, or as determined by the chiefs.
