Clinical Training
Audiology 1st - 4th Year Graduate Students
A distinctive part of our Audiology Section is the hands-on clinical and research training students receive here. Our preceptors enjoy helping students prepare for the world of clinical and research audiology.
Training occurs in our 4 affiliated Institutions:
- USF Health Department of Otolaryngology Hearing & Balance Center
- TGH Westshore Outpatient Clinic
- USF Health Auditory Rehabilitation & Clinical Trials (ARCT) Laboratory
- USF Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) ARCT Lab
The Audiology Section Externship program consists of 1 year of special comprehensive education in diagnostic testing and aural rehabilitation of patients of all ages while simultaneously providing research opportunities.
The Audiology Section Clerkship program consists of 1 semester of special comprehensive education in diagnostic testing and aural rehabilitation of patients of all ages at either the USF Hearing & Balance Center or TGH Westshore Outpatient Clinic.
The ARCT Lab offers graduate research assistant positions to undergraduate CSD students, 1st-4th Year Audiology Graduate Students, and Speech Language Pathology students.
Medical Students, MD Residents, Other healthcare's trainees
USF Health Audiology section contributes to the education of medical students, MD residents, and other healthcare trainees. We welcome observational rotations and provide didactic lectures.
PhD & Post-Docs
Audiology section contributes to the education of the PhD students and offers post-doctoral training. Our PhD students are enrolled in programs within USF Health Morsani College of Medicine and Behavioral & Community Sciences.
