A healthy sex life can add many benefits to our overall wellbeing including: a better immune system, lower blood pressure, higher self-esteem, better sleep, decrease anxiety and depression, better heart health, and many more.
Men and women are equally at risk for developing conditions that lead to discomfort during sex, and even eliminate sexual activity all together. Painful intercourse, lack of desire, or the inability to become aroused or have sexual climax could be signs of a physical disorder, which could be easily treatable with therapies and surgery.
Common medical causes that can lead to sexual dysfunction include heart disease, diabetes, and hormone issues. Psychological issues such as depression, anxiety, work-related stress, and relationship or marriage problems may also contribute to lack of sexual drive. Our specialists assess every patient to determine the causes surrounding a condition and determine the best course of treatment.
