As our bodies age, we begin to feel the wear and tear and the aches and pains associated with the passing of time. The aging process is a normal and expected part of life that presents its own set of challenges with movement and endurance. Geriatric physical therapy focuses on those challenges and has been found to improve a patient's quality of life by increasing fitness levels, strength, balance and mobility - thus allowing seniors to continue an active lifestyle with confidence.
