The Center for Complex Spinal Disorders was founded by our department’s inaugural chairman, Dr. David Cahill, who was well known as a pioneer in modern spinal surgery. In this center, our department spine specialists, including neurosurgeons, nurse practitioners, and chiropractors.  

Our team specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery for the treatment of complex spinal disorders, including scoliosis, trauma, fractures, tumors, neck, back, and leg pain, and degenerative spinal pathologies.

Treatments We Offer

Minimally invasive discectomy and laminectomy (outpatient, one-day surgery)

Minimally invasive spine surgery for treatment of complex spinal disorders:

  • Trauma

  • Fractures

  • Tumor

  • Neck and leg pain

  • Degenerative spinal pathologies

  • Scoliosis (including challenging cases such as degenerative scoliosis and adolescent idiopathic scoliosis

When appropriate, minimally invasive approaches are used to treat these same conditions surgically.
