The Center for Complex Spinal Disorders was founded by our department’s inaugural chairman, Dr. David Cahill, who was well known as a pioneer in modern spinal surgery. In this center our department spine specialists, including neurosurgeons, nurse practitioners, and chiropractors.  

Our team of specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery for treatment of complex spinal disorders including scoliosis, trauma, fractures, tumor, neck, back and leg pain and degenerative spinal pathologies. 

Treatments we offer include: 

• Minimally invasive discectomy and laminectomy (outpatient, one day surgery)

• Minimally invasive spine surgery for treatment of complex spinal disorders:

• Scoliosis (including challenging cases such as degenerative scoliosis and adolescent idiopathic scoliosis
• Trauma
• Fractures
• Tumor
• Neck and leg pain
• Degenerative spinal pathologies

When appropriate, minimally invasive approaches are used to surgically treat these same conditions.
