Award Payment

All students who apply for financial aid will receive notification of the awards for which they have qualified. The student will need to accept or decline the financial aid offered.

Student refunds from all sources of financial aid and after all outstanding charges on your student account in OASIS have been settled are disbursed by direct deposit or paper refund check. Paper checks are created only once per week by the University Controller's Office. We strongly recommend you sign up for eDeposit in your OASIS account to ensure the secure and rapid receipt of your financial aid.

Note: Enrolling and/or changes in eDeposit information can take up to 10 business days to go into effect.

Review of Student Awards

Federal and institutional policies prohibit students from receiving aid in excess of their cost of attendance. You are required to report any additional resources as soon as you have knowledge of the award. If you do receive additional assistance, your award from the Financial Aid Office will be revised if your total financial resources exceed total financial need.

Over Awards & Loan Disbursement

In the event a student receives scholarships resulting in an over award, subsequent to receiving his/her financial aid disbursement for the aid period, they will be required to repay funds. Awards will be cancelled or reduced in the following order:

· Private Alternative Loan Programs

· Unsubsidized Federal Direct Loans/Grad PLUS

· Institutional Scholarships

· Outside agency Loans

· Private Scholarships
