Application Process
Steps to Apply
It's a simple process to apply to the USF College of Nursing's Accelerated Second Degree program.

Apply to the University of South Florida as an undergraduate degree-seeking student.

Submit an application to the USF College of Nursing for the Accelerated Second Degree program. Admission is competitive and based on overall academic success (cumulative GPA); academic success in the first attempt of prerequisite courses (GPA calculated on specific courses); and an interview with USF College of Nursing faculty.

After completing the NursingCAS application in Step 2 above, submit the following materials here:
- Description of Peace Corps Volunteer Service (DOS)
- In 500 words or less, describe how your time as a Peace Corps Volunteer will help you succeed as a nurse (submit in PDF format)
- Three deliverables related to your Peace Corps Volunteer service, examples include:
- PowerPoint created and presented by the applicant
- Written article referring to Peace Corps work or an accomplishment
- YouTube video created by the applicant related to their volunteer work, etc.
Applicants must submit all of the additional materials by the nursing application deadline to be considered. If a student is not selected for the fellowship they can still be selected for the nursing program.
