Pepin Family USF Nursing Pathway Summer Program


The Pepin Family USF Nursing Pathway program is FREE, and students will receive a pair of nursing scrubs and a stethoscope. Current high school sophomores and juniors who are interested in learning about the nursing field and how to get into nursing school are invited to apply. 

Information on how to apply for Summer 2026 will be available starting January 2026.

Requirements

  • Current 10th and 11th grade high-school students (as of Spring 2026)
  • Attend a high school in Hillsborough, Pinellas, or Pasco County
  • Must be able to attend all five days of the program
  • Fill out the Pepin Family USF Nursing Pathway application
  • Submission of report card showing an overall 2.8 GPA or higher
  • Submission of a short answer or personal statement of interest
  • No prior attendance in the USF Nursing Pathway Summer Program
  • You must be 16 years of age by the first day of the program; there are no exceptions to this requirement

Program Activities:
The Pepin Family USF Nursing Pathway Summer Program consists of small didactic learning groups, hands-on practice in the simulation lab and Mo-Bull Nurse Medical Clinic, fostering relationships with current USF Bull Nurse faculty, students, and academic advisors, and other activities that provide them with experiential learning at the USF College of Nursing and with community and hospital partners across the Tampa Bay region.
