Biography

Dr. Deniz Dayicioglu is a Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of South Florida (USF), and a full-time senior member of Moffitt Cancer Center, a National Cancer Institute (NCI) designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. She is a plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgeon known for her expertise and compassion in serving patients facing cancer-related reconstructive challenges. With a specific interest in microsurgical reconstruction, she has performed over 500 DIEPs as well as many other types of autologous reconstructions. She has been performing challenging reconstructions at Moffitt and Tampa General Hospital since 2010 with successful free flap and aesthetic results. With over 24 years of experience in the field of plastic surgery, she dedicates her time to teaching in the operating room on a full range of breast and cancer reconstruction, focusing on training residents in microsurgical technique. She is a diplomate of American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) and a fellow of European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery (EBOPRAS). She is a member of American Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery (ASRM), World Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery (WSRM), Southeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons (SESPRS), and American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). She currently serves as the research director at USF plastic surgery department, has published over 70 peer-reviewed articles, has authored or presented over 75 presentations, is a book editor, has contributed to 7 book chapters, and holds a patent in breast related innovation. With her international background, she fosters collaboration with plastic surgeons worldwide, aiming to advance the practice of plastic surgery. She has shared her expertise in Plastic Surgery through humanitarian efforts with global outreach and many medical trips to Guatemala and Haiti to provide plastic surgery aid. Her passion is to enhance the field of plastic surgery through international collaboration and the creation of patents. As a female Plastic Surgeon, outside of work she finds joy spending time with her family and three small children.
