American Association of Neurological Surgeons- USF Student Chapter

The AANS USF Student Chapter offers support to USF Health undergraduate and graduate students who are considering a career in neurosurgery. Whether you are committed to the field of neurosurgery or just beginning to explore areas of interest, the AANS Chapter is an excellent opportunity to network with your peers and collaborate with members from the Department of Neurosurgery and Brain Repair.  

By joining the AANS USF Student Chapter, you will have access to several valuable resources including:

  • AANS Medical Student Membership
    • No fee to join for chapter members
    • Free access to online subscriptions including the Journal of Neurosurgery (JNS), Journal of Neurosurgery: Spine, and Journal of Neurosurgery: Pediatrics. 
    • Reduced registration rate for the AANS Annual Scientific Meeting
    • Online educational sessions offering CME
  • Access to AANS opportunities and events
  • Networking opportunities with local AANS members
  • Opportunities with the AANS Mentorship program and invitation to the mentorship sessions and social events at the AANS Annual Scientific Meeting
  • Opportunities with the AANS Young Neurosurgeons Committee (YNC) leadership opportunities, meetings, and projects
