General FAQs

We only accept applications through ERAS and foreign medical graduates must be certified by ECFMG.
In addition to your Dean’s letter, we require at least 3 letters of recommendation.

 

The following questions are specific to FMGs and do not apply to US medical school graduates.


FAQ by FMGs (Does not apply to US medical school graduates.)

No, you must have a J-1 visa or proof of US citizenship or permanent resident. However, we will consider sponsoring an H1 visa for highly qualified applicants (Steps 1 & 2 greater than 250).

No, you must pass the USMLE step 1 and 2 on the first attempt even if you have an outstanding score on your second attempt.
No, you must have at least 12 months of US clinical patient experience at the time of your application.
No, you must have graduated from medical school within the last 3 years (no exceptions).
