Advanced Pain Management Fellowship

This innovative advanced pain management certificate for certified registered nurse anesthetist providers. Pain fellows at USF will consider the physical, psychological, and social aspects of the individual as they develop approaches to pain management plans.

Post-Graduate APRN Certificate Programs

The overarching goal of these certificates is to prepare advanced practice registered nurses with sufficient didactic and clinical experience to expand their scope of practice and qualify for national certification as either Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioners or Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioners.

Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is an advanced practice nurse who provides holistic mental health care across the lifespan, including assessment, diagnosis, therapy, and medication management. They work in diverse settings, collaborate with other healthcare professionals, and advocate for mental health equity and policy improvements. The specific goal of the PMHNP post-graduate certificate is to prepare students to meet the end of program learning outcomes.

Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP)

Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) is an advanced practice nurse who delivers specialized, evidence-based care to adolescents, adults, and older adults with acute, critical, and complex health conditions. AGACNPs perform advanced assessments, manage treatment plans, and coordinate care across transitions in settings such as hospitals, ICUs, and specialty clinics. They collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, advocate for patient safety and quality outcomes, and contribute to system-level improvements in acute and critical care. The specific goal of the AGACNP post-graduate certificate is to prepare students to meet the end of program learning outcomes.
