Stroke, Vascular, & Critical Care Neurology Division
Overview
The Division of Vascular and Critical Care Neurology provides evaluation and treatment of the full range of vascular diseases affecting the nervous system, including:
- Ischemic Stroke
- Intracerebral Hemorrhage
- Carotid Artery Disease
In conjunction with our partners in the Departments of Neurosurgery and Interventional Radiology, we also participate in the management of surgical vascular disorders including:
- Vascular Malformations
- Subarachnoid Hemorrhage
- Intracranial Occlusive Vascular Disorders such as Moya Moya
Clinical care is provided by a team of expert physicians with specific training and board certification in this subspecialty area. We offer state of the art care for patients with cerebrovascular disorders of all levels of complexity.
As part of our mission to provide the highest level of care and advance the science of medicine, we are active in research at both the clinical and basic science levels. We participate in a number of multi-center clinical trials as well as performing our own original research.
In addition to clinical care and research, we educate medical students and train residents and fellows to become the next generation of neurologists.
