The University of South Florida Internal Medicine Research Department is located on Davis Island in Tampa, Florida, right across the street from our close affiliate, the Tampa General Hospital. Nearby, there is the Tampa Bay metropolitan area that encompasses a 4-county area with a total population of 2.5 million. Major cities within this area include Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Clearwater. The Tampa Bay area has a varied ethnic distribution, which is easily accessible with minimal media exposure. Patients for studies are also accessible through our cardiologist and their associated private practices, as well as our affiliated hospital, Tampa General.
