The Internal Medicine Research Department is an Academic Research Site with an established record of successfully completing 150+ industry-sponsored clinical trials and investigator-initiated clinical trials in research fields such as Cardiology, Pulmonology, Gastroenterology, Rheumatology, Infectious Disease, Allergy and Nephrology. This Department of Internal Medicine has experience in Phase I-IV trials and has established itself as a reliable and consistent site providing sponsors with clean data and meeting our recruitment goals 95% of the time.

As recognized experts that provide cutting-edge treatments to neighboring communities, this site has successfully engaged the Greater Tampa Bay area community in research. Our recruitment area covers over six counties with a population of over 3.2 million. The Tampa Bay community is a community rich in diversity – with both family and retirement communities.

  • Our local IRB meets bi-weekly for local submission review. Submissions requesting reliance to an sIRB are reviewed in lieu of local IRB meetings.
  • We have robust experience utilizing central IRBs for regulatory oversite of our industry sponsored clinical trials.
